One of the few pictures of me dancing. This was at showcase we did at an Import Car Show as part of the Jam Squad, the dance group for KXJM Portland’s Jammin 95.5 radio station.

We were pretty dope as a unit. We were a collective of BBoys, music video style hip hop, African, tap, etc… we came together and created some great sets.

We performed on stage at numerous concerts that came through Portland in the late 90s-early 00s.

Unfortunately, we didn’t take many photos nor have much video of our shows. It’s all just a memory.

honored to do this collaboration.

In recent time, @tazroc has been overseas
leaving his stamp on some very notable
projects including contributing a section
on the Guiness Book Of World Records
Longest Mural!!! Pretty Dope right? Currently he’s putting his artistic stamp on some food trucks in Maui!!!

Happy 40 year anniversary to one of the original Hip Hop films, the cult classic, WILD STYLE!!! Released 11/23/1983.

If you haven’t seen this film yet, do yourself a favor and do so. It’s available on Amazon Prime. The film features some influential pioneers of the culture and serves as a fairly accurate portrayal of happenings during Hip Hops formative years.

I’m excited to announce that Akepele Apparel has connected with with good people at @upupbookspdx to feature one of our tees in their new brick and mortar store.

Up Up Books just opened an awesome new bookstore, yes tangible books, in the Buckman neighborhood across from @revolutionhall.

They have a well rounded selection of books by independent authors, from cookbooks to cannabis and self-help to children’s books. They also have puzzles and games and a creative space you can reserve for FREE!

Currently, we have our Music Unity tee on hand in the store, XS-XL. So, you can support two local businesses when you grab a book and a tee from Up Up Books.

”I have a crazy idea, would you be interested in sharing your story with my class of about 30 students?” I excitingly obliged and gave a about 20min session with a fantastic Q&A. While wrapping up we decided to record a brief video for “TikTok!”
