The deck is an 8” bamboo board. It’s pretty small though, I think an 8.5” would be better.

•Bones Retros Side Cut Wheels
•Bones Reds Bearings
•Fire Ball Spacers

This might be a better set up than I used to ride back in the day!!! Maybe because it’s all new, I used to piece my decks together back then, lack of money. Ha

I finally put this skate deck together, I’ve had the hardware for months now and decided to knock it out. I love the bottom graphic, shout out to Jess at @gamut_arts. Also, I really love how the grip tape came out, that was a labor of love. Smh.

It’s been about 15 years since I’ve jumped on a board, I’m definitely rusty and feel very uncomfortable on it, lol. Give me some time to get my legs back and I’ll be good.

With that said, it’s a 2vs2 battle so BBoys& BGirls get your partner and get ready to throw down for $800 1st Place cash prize, $200 2nd place.

BNTG resident DJs @dj_wicked and @mightymoves will be on the decks providing the sounds.

Oak Street Pub has delicious food and a vast array of beers on tap!

This is a free and family friendly event.

We had a dope setup and nice spread of merch for Mic Check 7 Year Anniversary event this past weekend.

I dropped a couple new pieces at the event that took off. The new Supa Dupa Fly tee and the new colorways of Hip Hop Blvd Remix and The Foundation 2023 were hits. Most importantly, the commemorative Mic Check 7 Event tee moved too and we have a few remaining, stay tuned for details on this piece.

First off, the Mic Check 7 Year Anniversary was super dope!!! If you didn’t make it out you really missed something special.

I have to give a huge thank you to my friend @djklyph for always including me & @akepeleapparel in whatever you have going on. You’re a true friend and genuine supporter.

For those who don’t know, Klyph loves hip hop and loves this city and uses his many platforms (podcast, radio shows, numerous events) to show love to the talent in this city, selflessly. He’s got a knack for building community, making connections, and connecting people. I call him the king of networking!!! All of this to say, he does this for simply for the love of the culture, never asking for anything in return.

This is why Mic Check 7 at @missiontheaterpdx this past Sunday was so dope, all of this networking, building, and planning paid off. People showed up and showed out in such a positive way. This was such a dope event with incredible talent from open to close with many surprises throughout. Everyone was smiling, dancing, and thoroughly enjoying themselves.

In addition to the roster of artists, every detail was executed flawlessly, from the VIP lanyards and artists bracelets, to the creative name badge raffle and prizes were on point. The branding was top notch.

I’m extremely proud of you and appreciative of you!!!

Can’t wait for this next thing we got coming up. 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼
