NPR Music presents The Tiny Desk Concert: Anderson .Paak and The Free Nationals.
NPR (2016): “Anderson .Paak, featured here with his band the Free Nationals, is celebrating the recent success of his sophomore album, Malibu, released earlier this year. Prior to this, .Paak had a solid presence on Compton, the surprise release album from super producer Dr. Dre. As you will see in this episode, Anderson is a triple-threat artist who can rap, sing and play multiple instruments.”
Back in 2016, Oxnard, CA. native, Anderson .Paak, was making big moves and seeing his star power really shine. I first discovered him from his track Am I Wrong ft Schoolboy Q, which then introduced me to his Malibu album. It was such a dope album, so I went back to check his entire catalog and discovered all previous projects and features and I’ve been a fan ever since. To date, .Paak has dropped multiple projects, including Silk Sonic with Bruno Mars – that didn’t disappoint. All of this to reintroduce a stellar performance from his 2016 appearance on NPR’s Tiny Desk Series.
Give this a watch and vibe out.
